This shoe features a one-time TW 6-month outsole durability guarantee. If you wear through the outsole within 6-months of purchasing from Tennis Warehouse you can return the pair for replacement.

Please note:

  • Warranty only covers the rubber outsole of the shoe. Damage to the toe-guard or upper of the shoe does not qualify for the warranty replacement.
  • Shoe must be completely worn through the outsole and into the midsole or insole of the shoe.
  • Warranty is void if the shoe is abused or mishandled.

This 10th generation of the Gel Resolution delivers stability, durability, and comfort! A great option for players looking for trusty and comfortable shoes.

The Asics Gel Resolution X (2E) takes stability, durability, and comfort to the next tier as Asics incorporates key updates, and builds upon the popularity of the previous generation (Asics Gel Resolution 9). A re-engineered Dynawall maximizes the lateral stability, while maintaining comfort as you plant and cut aggressively for changes in direction. The midsole is now more plush than previous versions with a combination of FlyteFoam Blast+ and ECO Foam; forget not the signature Gel cushioning in the forefoot. The medial side of the ankle collar has been raised to provide comfortable padding, while the PGUARD on the medial side of the toe box provides drag protection, for those players who slide on hard courts. A Full length AHAR Plus rubber outsole carries on the reputation of being one of the most durable in the industry, and the tread pattern provides good grip on a variety of surfaces. Backed by a Tennis Warehouse six month outsole durability guarantee.
  • Upper: DYNALACING for a customizable fit and added comfort when cinching the laces tightly. Full length Flexion Fit upper with increased support, comfort, and ventilation.
  • Midsole: FlyteFoam Blast+ and ECO Foam combine for cushioning and energy return. Asics' signature GEL adds to the shock absorption, and a responsive feel under foot. The Dynawall system is redesigned for more lateral stability and improved comfort on the lateral side of the foot.
  • Outsole: Full length AHAR Plus rubber outsole in a multi-directional tread pattern, with pivot points for durability and traction on any court surface. PGuard Toe Protector for those who slide and toe drag. Backed by a tennis warehouse six month outsole durability guarantee.
  • Color: Midnight / Cream

How To Ruin A ShoeThe ASICS Gel Resolution was my go to shoe for so many years. It fit my foot perfectly, offered the perfect balance of support and cushioning, and was durable. I wore this new version once and had to stop because it was hurting my feet. The insole is paper thin. The fit has changed too and doesn’t offer the superior fit it once had. And the outer shoe is mostly made of rubbery material that offers very little ventilation. I can understand marketing folks wanting to change color schemes and make minor cosmetic changes. But to radically change the design of the shoe itself is beyond my comprehension.

Bring Back the Old DesignOK, so it's not really a 1-star shoe, but it's a 1-star shoe versus the Gel Res 9. I've been playing the Gel Res exclusively for the last 7 years. Until the Gel Res X redesign, the line has been the best of all possible worlds. The previous versions were perfection: Extremely durable (I'm just under 200lbs, do a lot of running and sliding on hard court, and this shoe actually holds up), agile (despite being a heavier shoe, they're low to the ground and not over-cushioned, so great for players that rely on speed), and well fitted (true to size, comfortable right out of the box, and laces stay snug all match long). The Gel Res X is, in a word, terrible. The shoes are bulky and slow compared to the previous models. The lacing system is a pain and has no benefit (unless you like retying shoes several times in the course of a match). They're uncomfortable (remember how I said the previous versions were comfortable out of the box? I have over 10 hours on these shoes and my feet STILL hurt around the sides of the mid-foot). The only thing they have in common with the previous Gel Res models is they can withstand a nuclear blast. I'll be trying the adidas Barricades as my next shoe unless Asics goes back to the old design.

IssueI’m not happy at all with this product, after to use them, they take forever to get dry and it’s something that the tennis players don’t like it since we have to play comfortable, I had them one time they were really good but this one that I have now probably they are not good probably they have a issue from fabrics. It’s something that bothers me a lot.

Resolution XThis shoe is a game changer. The best tennis and pickleball shoe I have ever worn. I read a lot of reviews before I purchased them and was concerned because they were not great. However I trusted that Asics has made nothing but great shoes for years and I was correct. Truly a game changing shoe.

Why did they changeBoth my son's have worn the Asics Gel Resolutions for the last 4+ years and have absolutely loved the shoe. Now Asics makes a radical change to the design that results in a shoe that is heavier, stiffer, higher side walls that dig into their ankles, and just completely uncomfortable to wear. Sometimes you need to recognize that when you have the most popular item on the market change, especially significant change isn't a good thing. Just ask Addidas when they changed the Barricade to the bootie design about 4 years ago when we switched to Asics. I could continue to complain and express my disappointment but I need to find new shoes for my players. I do not recommend the Gel Resolution X.

Purple tennis shoesI bought these for my high school son, he’s always worn the Rafa tennis shoes previously. These were as close as I could find to his school colors ( not quite). They were supposed to be a “get by” pair until I could find something else. He liked them so much that I bought him a second pair.

Great blend of comfort and stability!I think it's a very good tennis shoe—very comfortable and at the same time provides enough support to feel secure when running side to side or forward. It's a great blend of comfort and stability, definitely worth it. One important note: you should order this shoe half a size down. I'm normally a 9.5, but based on recommendations I ordered a size 9, and it was the right decision.

The most discomfort ever from a shoeThe raised inner wall of the shoe is digging strongly into my ancles causing severe pain when using these shoes for extended periods of time. Not recommended. This is clearly design flaw, hard to comprehend how they did not catch this problem when so many users reporting it. Cannot use the shoes and Asics does not stand behind their product ! Shame on them! Previous release of this shoe was great, this ver. X is not usable for me.

Better than previous model! But…These are actually better than the previous model, but the tricky thing is you have to find out your new specs, because its size/fit changed. With the Resolution 9, I used size 10 2E (Wide). For these resolution Xs, size 10 regular (not wide) actually fits me best. So I guess the regular sizes are wider now. The previous models were way too narrow, even the wide one was a little too tight. These Xs are also softer and more comfortable, as well as being a little more spacious, I like them more.

I think it's a great shoeI couldn't wear the Gel 9s. Have a low arch and high instep and my foot seemed to bust out of the top. I suffer from achilles tendonitis from time to time so opt for shoes with a lot of support. These are great. I've seen a lot of negative reviews, but the Xs are comfortable, have great support, and provide me with great movement. I did put in an orthodic insole. Break-in period is a little longer than other shoes maybe but not a big deal after a couple of weeks.

gel 10not sure what happened but these shoes are the worst. asics took a huge step backwards from the 9's. hopefully they go back to something similar to the 9's next year. I will need to find a different brand until them. so disappointed in asics

ASICS flopI see the future, and its people studying the fall from grace of the resolution. As asics how do you take the most popular tennis shoe, one that has been solid for generations and drop the ball this hard. This shoe is a dumpster fire in all ways (fit, sizing, weight, etc) if I could go back in time I’d buy every resolution 9 I could find. Keep some for me and sell the rest, people are literally listing the past gen’s at double the price because of this disaster of an update

Wish for the Gel 9'sI waited for these until my Gel Resolution 9's wore out. Bummer as these pinch into the top of my feet and seem tighter than the previous generation. I like the other improvements with the sole and laces and tongue, but they bite into top of my feet and unwearable.

Changes to the fit work well for my feet.I read a couple of reviews complaining about asics making a roomier foot box for this version of gel resolution. I order already order asics a half size down to get the right fit and the extra room for my wider front foot is actually really nice. Some break in time is needed as the sidewalls in these are very pronounced and feel harsh at first. My last gel res were the 8. I tried the court ff which are excellent in terms of comfort support and general feel, but came back to gel resolution for the durability. The low to the ground feeling is cool too but I’d call it a toss up vs the cushioning offered by the ff. Overall, I’m really happy with these and several guys at the club have taken notice and ordered a pair for themselves.

Really Wanted These To WorkThese looked stylish, but they were a huge letdown. Despite their wide fit, the toe area tore up the tops of my toes, causing blisters, and the ankle collar rubbed my skin raw with short socks. I tried breaking them in, but the scratchy, heavy feel—like wearing metal knight’s boots—made them unbearable. For the price, these shoes were a waste, prioritizing looks over comfort, and I’d recommend choosing something more comfortable.

Heavier and Not Yet Broken InThe two most noticeable differences from Gel Resolution 9 are: - Increased weight. After playing a while, I don't really notice it any more. - The lack of flexibility in the toe crease. It still makes a sound when I walk which is strange. I don't notice it impacting my footwork, it's just not preferred. I prefer the gel resolution 9s to these. I tried the Asics Court FF as an alternative and they were worse than the Gel Resolution X's, so I just keep wearing these until Asics makes a better gel resolution.

A lighter tennis shoeI have used Asics for very long and love them. The shoe I used before this was specific to clay tennis courts and is very nice. This light shoe fits even better and its lightness feels wonderful. I am so glad I made this choice. And of course I am grateful that I continue to buy from Tennis Warehouse, they have been superb for years and years.

Love this shoe! The number one reason we buy this product is for its outsoule guarantee. My son spends every moment he can on the tennis and pickleball courts. He goes through shoes. The guarantee allows means I know if will last 6 months and if it doesn't we will get another pair through tennis warehouse on the house. FYI when I look around the tennis courts at his college matches, this is by far the most popular shoe being worn by men's college tennis athletes. They are durable and attractive.

And of course, price and availability are givens! Why shop anywhere else!

Too hot for South FloridaThis generation doesn’t have good ventilation. After a 2 hour play, my feet end up pruney. Like if I was inside a pool the whole time. Need to wait until winter to continue using them. Additionally, took a while to break them in. Currently, I am looking for alternatives.

Was so excited for the X....I was so excited for the GRX that I bought 2 pairs. Mistake. I loved the 8s and 9s, but these new Xs are heavy, painful, and feel more like how the new Barricades feel (stiff, uncomfortable, heavy, difficult to get a good tight feel). Every time I play in these shoes my feet hurt. Not every shoe is going to be perfect. I hope Asics listens to the feedback and comes up with a GR11 in the future that supports the legacy

Unfortunately the reviews were rightThe Gel Resolution 9s were my favorite tennis shoes Ive worn. I wore my normal size 12 and never had any issues. I went down half a size for the Xs per Tennis Warehouse recommendations and generally the shoe fits fine on my foot (toe box feels about the same as size 12 9s), but they're absolutely brutal on my feet once I start moving. I was wondering if maybe my feet were just worn down from playing a lot but the pain went away as soon as I switched back to the Asics Solution Speed FF3s. Shoe seems to rub both on the inside and outside of your foot somehow. The weight isn't terrible, but definitely a little heavier than the 9s. The GR9s had to be the most frequently worn shoe in my area. I'm genuinely perplexed why a company would take such a successful shoe and modify it so dramatically (including messing with the sizing). Will have to look for a durability alternative until Asics goes back to what made the 9s great

Ruined a legacyI’ve worn the resolutions since the 7s, they have been the only shoe I have purchased in many years and have gone thru many many pairs. They were arguably the most popular shoe. So why as asics would you literally change everything that made it great. Fit is way off now, heel slip is terrible and the new lacing system doesn’t allow for a successful runners knot. As a teaching pro I wouldn’t wear the X even for lessons where I’m only feeding, they are literally that bad…. asics please bring back the 9s.

Great fitI found the right fit with this Asics 2E width shoe. I have been wearing regular size 11 for the last 15 years and my feet have not grown in size as my old shoes can still fit. Regular width shoes have become narrower in the last few years. I had to buy regular sized 11.5 or 12 so my toes will not get squeezed. But they are an inch or two longer than my old shoes and would be too loose length-wise. With these 2E size shoes I can wear a size 10.5 and they provide perfect fit and support. I hope shoe companies will offer more shoes with width sizing.

Thanks for the heads upWhat on earth drives a company to change up a very popular design of shoe. I bought a whole bunch of Resolution 8's and am staring to run low so I thought I'd see what the latest version was up to. Sounds like a real disaster.

Time for a change?Been wearing Gel Resolution for past 10-12 years, this is the first version that no longer fits my foot. Way too sloppy in toe box. I bought the K-Swiss Hypercourt Supreme 2 and am pleasantly surprised on overall fit. A little easier on pocketbook too.

Ruined a great shoeI’ve found the gel resolution 7, 8 & 9 to be exceptional shoes for comfort, support and fit. By far my favorite tennis shoe. So, I was hopeful with the new X version. Wow, how did Asics screw up so badly. The lateral support is gone and the fit is sloppy, The previous versions felt locked in to your feet, The X version has lost that. Guess I’ll have to start looking for a new favorite. ASICS has lost me as a customer,

Not as bad as the reviews!!!I was a long time user of the gel res line and this shoe finally addressed the biggest issue for me being the fit. I always found the shoes to be too narrow even in wide widths and I don’t even have a wide foot. These feel pretty much like a thicker gel res 9. Pretty similar just a bit chunkier

+Weight, Stability, Durability, -LacingHuge fan of the Resolution series since 5. Have owned multiples of each. Daily player, both hard and clay courts. This review is specifically for the clay version, however hard court version likely has the same benefits and issues. I have used it for about 2 months. Likes: * Feels more stable * Bottom is more durable/firmer * Uppers appear to be solid * Slightly heavier. I am a fan of heavier shoes as they generally offer more protection to my heels * Still has that Resolution "soft gel" feeling in the heel * No break in period at all, just started using it day 1 * Additional grip on the inside of the shoes, very helpful on clay for sliding/push off * Tennis Warehouse excellent customer service (as always) Dislikes: * Lacing mechanism ripped 2 inner lacing loops at 2 months. This is not using any excess force or overtightening them. Loops unlike prior models are not "holes" in the shoe, but instead fabric lacing Given this, about 50 matches in, the (clay) shoe is done for. I *could* cut holes for laces in the uppers, which appear to be able to hold it (uppers are pretty thick rubber/polymer) - but that likely compromises the balance of the shoe/stability/support, so I did not risk it. In general, prior generations of Asics have lasted for me somewhere between 4 and 5 months. This applies primarily to clay court shoes, with clay fairing better on the sole because it doesn't wear out nearly as much on the soft surface. It's the uppers that generally go with clay model. Soles go first on hard court model, especially with modern gritty courts (sliding on both hard and clay)

Not as good as previous versionsI had pairs of both the 8 and 9 and really likes them. For the X, they changed the material of the outer shell around the toes. Before it was soft like cloth. Now it is hard and stiff like plastic. It’s not breaking in and does the popping when you bend your toes. Very disappointing. I would not buy these again

Good shoeThis version X feels different than previous versions, including 9. I compared versions 9 and X, but find very little difference in width and length. I do find that version X is little roomier than previous versions; my feet are "average" bulk. Version X took 2-3 days to break in, although other versions did not take any time; I would flex the shoe fully about 20 times before hitting the court. I expect manufacturers make changes to their shoe in newer versions as was done in version X. Still a good shoe.

Terrible DurabilityUnfortunately this will be my last time purchasing ASICS tennis shoes. Aside from the terribly long break in period, the soles of these shoes don’t hold up nearly as well as I needed them to. After one month of use the bottoms of my shoes were completely slick. There were times that I had forceful take offs and my foot slid right out from under me. I am going to switch back to Nike. I’m scared if I continue using these shoes, I will get injured. Other than the cool color scheme, I can’t say anything else positive about these shoes.

Asics PLEASE bring back 8 or 9sMy son has been wearing Gel Resolution 8s for several years and loved them for their stability on the tennis court. These new shoes are terrible and nothing like the older version. Asics, why the major departure from a good solid shoe? Please bring back something like the older styles. We are now scrambling to find something comparable.

They Changed a Good Thing...This used to be my go-to, but the new version is a mess. The high ankle support is too bulky, rubs my ankle, and the shoe aggravates my heel. The front bends awkwardly and puts weird pressure on the top of my foot — it just feels off with every step. They took a great design and made it worse. I play rec basketball, so I’ll repurpose these for the bball court and find a better tennis shoe.

Overall BEST shoe with a 6 month guarantee. If you want maximum durability with comfort and no break-in time required, also NO TOE jamming like most other shoes. This shoe is stable when you need a little more support. The only bad part of the shoe is that it's kinda heavy, due to the amount of tread/rubber.

Downgraded a great lineup of shoesAs someone who has gone through multiple pairs of the Gel Res 8s and 9s, these new "upgrade" has sort of ruined everything that was great about this lineup. They've become stiffer and uncomfortable to wear. I never had arch related issues with the previous models but my right foot upper area hurts when I wear my everyday shoes. The lacing system is complicated to say the least. It can be either too tight or too loose and it's difficult to find the perfect balance. They feel heavier and stiffer now which will probably make them even more durable but at the cost of comfort. Tennis shoes are supposed to enhance your movement and protect your feet, these shoes do the opposite.

2E is weirdly narrowThis shoe fits very, very strangely - either too long or too wide. For reference, I'm a woman with flat feet / low arches and usually don't have trouble finding a shoe that fits. I usually buy a 9.5 Women's (usually D width, occasionally B, as with the New Balance 996v6 and Coco CG2) or a 8.0 Men's (D width). For these, I had to buy a 7.5 Men's (2E) to get a proper fit. I tried my usual size 8.0 (D width), since I have Gel Resolution 9s in that same size. It felt too long, but the width was okay. Then, I tried a 7.5 (D), and it was too narrow, squeezing my pinky toe and creating a blister. Finally, I tried a 7.5 (2E!!!), and it was wider, but my pinky toe occasionally hits the side of the shoe if I'm wearing thin socks. The toe box on the X is very strange. So, for someone with low arches and medium-wide feet like me, I went from a men's 8.0 Gel Resolution 9 (D) to a men's 7.5 Gel Resolution X (2E) to finally get something usable. If you do try these shoes, be aware that you may have a shoe that fits lengthwise, but feels narrow because the toe box is shaped weird. On the flip side, you might get a shoe that's too long in your usual size, but the toe box on it fits well. Recommend buying a bunch of sizes if you really like the style of the shoe - otherwise, look elsewhere or try to find the Gel Res 9s.

Hurting my ankleI have been using Resolution for years. But this shoes hurt my ankle a lot. I have to put in additional insoles to raise my feet a bit to avoid the ankle pain.

The downfallIt had been so many generations of great resolutions, I was waiting for the flop, here it is. I didn’t expect it to be this bad. They’re clunky, the high medial wall rubs, no lockdown

Disappointing from AsicsUncomfortable out of the box and have had little success breaking them in. Just a strange shoe - very long and runs big. Won't be recommending this model.

Worst version yet.I have worn and loved the Asics Gel Resolution 8 and 9 for years, so I figured the X would continue this trend. But Asics inexplicably decided to change a lot about this shoe for the X and all the of the changes are for the worse. The X feels more stiff, less stable, less comfortable, and less secure. I played with it for one session and immediately returned it. Go back to your good design, Asics.

Good shoe - no heel lockDefinitely very rigid shoes which probably means they’ll be durable. I do find them comfortable, didn’t cause any pain on first use. I do wish they had a better way to heel lock

Great Customer Service & shoeI purchased and absolutely loved these. They were suppose to be durable and had a tiny rip after a month, so I asked Tennis Warehouse and they were kind enough to exchange them. But the shoes are amazing and I have tried the Mach 15, The Gel Resolution X, and Nikes. These are hands down my favorite, feels great on my feet and feel supported when I’m playing pickle. Definitely recommend these over the X, the X fit very different, they added space to the shoe. So I loved these and Tennis Warehouse thank you for allowing me to exchange. You’ve earned a lifetime customer

Worst VersionI have worn Gel Res for several years and this is the worst version by far. The shoes come a half size too big. They are super stiff and feel like blocks. The break in period is really long. Have been playing in them for 6 hours and still they are not fully broken in. Not sure why Asics changed a perfectly good shoe. The Gel Res 9s were the best. This one missed the mark.

Heavy and stiff, uncomfortable shootPreviously, I wore the ASICS gel resolution 9 shoe 11 1/2 and I was very happy with that shoe… I thought this issue would be similar but was not the case at all. I started with the standard resolution 10 in a size 11, which was recommended when I called in, and that shoe was way too narrow for my wide foot. So, I sent it back and got the resolution 10 size 11 2E. Although it was wide enough for my foot, the shoe is heavy and stiff, and I thought maybe it just needed to be worked in a little bit and so I walked around in it for one day and there was no way I was going to purchase that shoe! So I sent it back for a refund. It’s so unfortunate that they change the similar models so much shoe by shoe and now I have to try and figure out what my next shoe is going to be. Andrew.

Not soft enoughShoes are not as flexible as other ASICS tennis shoes I've used in the past.

Would not recommendHave worn Gel Resolutions for the past four years and was disappointed in this offering. For the first time, my feet hurt after wearing. A very different shoe than the Gel Res 9.

Worst gel resolutionsBeen a long term gel resolution fan. Was excited to try the new gel res X as they look great… however was instantly disappointed on how box like, heavy and much it resembled a snow boot… The inner material near the ankle is so hard I started to bleed.. I gave it a good 6-8 hours and it progressively felt worse. One of the worst shoes I’ve worn and ASICs really messed up. For me Gel 8 was 8.5stars, gel 9s a 9star and the Gel X receives 1 star just for the good aesthetic appearances Avoid this shoe at all cost

2E Not Wide EnoughI ordered these in my normal size, after wearing mostly KSwiss Hypercourt Express and Babolat SFX for their wide fit. As soon as I put them on, I knew they were going back. I’ve never tried the regular width Resolutions but they must be extremely narrow if this is their wide variant. Good looking shoe, though. But too narrow for a 2E and kinda heavy.

More shoe than most needThis shoe was disappointing, as it was bulkier and wider and heavier than what I had come to expect from prior ASICS tennis shoes. I would recommend avoiding this if you have narrow feet.

They tried to fix something that wasn’t brokeBeen in the Gel Res line since trying on the 8s and loved them ever since – they did everything just right. They’re stable and comfortable, and I could still get some explosive bounce and feel. And 9s were a subtle but incremental upgrade. I don’t know what ASICS was going for here with the Xs but the fit is just not the same. Seems like they were trying to cater to wider feet, and I’m now floating in them. Tried working the new lace system and even going a size down but it just does not work for me. Please revert back! I might stock up on 9s until they figure this out.

Lacing system is horribleI've love this shoe but the new lacing system is awful it doesn't run through the normal eyes it goes through a bunny loop so when you start moving the shoes come untied - who came up with this??? Very disappointed

Not the soft shoe anymoreI've been buying the resolution shoe for over 10 years. Not anymore. This model the "10" has silly unique features that include the lacing system, strange tongue and too wide of footprint. Just a hard, stable, uncomfortable style of shoe..

Skip this modelCONS Too much room all around, feels like a boat Break-In takes too long Too heavy, hard and stiff Too much $$ Impracticable lacing system Pros I’m not sure you will see any of the pros wearing this one

disappointmentA significant setback when compared to the 9's. The shoe is roomier and very stable however they are super uncomfortable. The top plastic is very hard and bends in a weird way pinching and causing pain on my toes. In comparison the 9's (which are slightly snug but still fine) are exponentially more comfortable. Not sure why ASICS would feel the need to completely ruin something that was working so well. I do not see the X being much popular at all. Now, like many others, I am scavenging the internet in search for the 9's.

A more cushy gel resI've been wearing Gel Res for the past 8 years over multiple iterations and these are my favorite. Noticeably more cushion in the forefoot and slightly more room in the toebox, though I think this is due to more vertical space rather than making it wider. Still a fast, stable shoe. My only critique is that it's a little tougher to get these to stay snug during a hitting session due to the new lacing system and the tongue tends to migrate slightly, which wasn't an issue on prior versions. I also think the purple colorway is pretty great.

Feet hurt, but love the innovationsI like just about every update with these shoes. I like the new lacing, new heal and toe fit more true to size, great stability. I really want to love these shoes and was planning to buy several pairs... but I've worn them for four sessions and my feet hurt so much every time (mid lateral foot). I keep thinking if I wear them for another hour, they'll feel better... but my feet hurt worse... Looking forward to the Gel Res 11s.

Great first impressionI can only speak for myself, but once I squeezed into these shoes, I liked them a lot. Perfect fit-- equal pressure on my foot on the sides and top. I don't think I'll bother with my orthotics; they feel THAT good

Major downgradeI have worn the resolutions for the past 3 generations. They have been a dream of a shoe… until now. The X fit isn’t up to par, they run long and wider. They feel much heavier and clunky, even in the correct size it is hard to get a lockdown since the medial laces are not in traditional layouts and run thru somewhat of a bungy system. Deal breaker for me.

Better and WorseI have played in every Asic Gel Resolution since they started making them. They were the best shoes for me. I have a narrow foot M 11.5, B-C width. Asics were always narrow and were a good fit for me. The current X are so wide in the toe box they no longer fit. Laces can't be pulled tight enough. If you have a wide foot these will work. The cushioning in the forefoot is improved, the medial high support is a non-issue. Unfortunately with Asics trying to appeal to a wider audience they have ruined it for people with narrow feet.

A bit larger than previous gensOverall, very good shoe but is a bit longer than previous gens. I wear a 9.0 for last 5 gens but can probably wear an 8.5 with the X.

SolidI wear a 14.0 in almost every brand of shoe out there. I could have probably gotten away with a 13.5 with this shoe but I am happy with the 14. I did get the wide because past shoes in this brand have always been a little snug for me. I have now played with these for a few hours and I am satisfied with the shoe. It is a little on the heavy side but it feels very durable and I was able to play a lot longer with these than with other shoes. I would definitely buy again.

Tennis shoe or ski boot?Cushioning and proper fit are there. But it is very torsional rigid; almost to a fault. Feels like a ski boot.

Great shoe! This is the most comfortable and stable tennis shoe I have ever owned. It has plenty of room in the midsole and toe box. I normally wear a size 11 in the KSwiss Gel Resolution. The reviewers recommended a half size smaller and it is perfect fit.
