Updated with a new material technology for 2025!

Head adds another chapter to the Speed Pro Legend! Endorsed by Novak Djokovic, this racquet shares the same mold and target specs as the standard Speed Pro. In addition to its stable and plush feel, the Speed Pro Legend packs an 18x20 string pattern, giving it a very predictable and laser-like trajectory. The result is exceptional command over the ball. The Legend also packs a buttery 61RA stiffness, along with providing an outstanding sound at impact. For 2025, Head introduces a new material technology called Hy-Bor, which puts compression-resistant boron fibers in the shaft to create a more stable and connected feel through impact. Additional technologies include the return of Auxetic 2 in the yoke and handle to further optimize the feel and response. As with the previous generation, this model features Graphene Inside, reinforcing the frame in key areas for added power and stability. Ultimately, this update preserves the Speed Pro's control while also enhancing the feel (and sound). Players who like confidently driving the ball through the court will love this one.

Fantastic Racquet - For the Right PlayerI just switched from the Head Gravity MP XL to the Head Speed Pro Legend and offer my observations. Both racquets are excellent, but the Head Speed Pro Legend is superior for a certain type of player. First, the changes in the Head Speed Pro Legend are not just cosmetic. I played with the 2024 version, and the 2025 version is noticeably more stable with added power and feel. Yes, the Hy-Bor in the throat is not just a gimmick. While this is an excellent racquet, it is best suited for certain playing styles and skill levels. First, the racquet with an over grip and dampener weighs 12.1 ounces. As a result, it has plenty of plow through against big hitters yet, surprisingly, felt very maneuverable, especially at net. Second, the racquet has exceptional control, even for an 18 x 20 string pattern. The string pattern provides a lower launch angle than most racquets which is a big plus if you hit flatter groundstrokes and try to drive the ball, rather than rely on heavy spin. Heavy spin is possible, but it has to be generated by the player, not the design of the racquet. Third, while this racquet would likely be characterized as a "control" racquet, it can generate plenty of power in the right hands. If you hit the sweet spot and have proper mechanics, you are rewarded with a distinctive sound and the ball exploding off the string bed, but with control. Similarly with the spin potential, power is mostly generated by the player, but the racquet is able to produce "controllable power" which, in my experience, is very unique. Lastly, the flex rating is perfect. The racquet is flexible enough if you have elbow or shoulder issues, yet firm enough that it does not get pushed around by heavy hitters. It is truly a perfect balance. So, who should consider this racquet? This racquet is not for beginners. I would suggest players with at least a 4.0 NTRP but preferably a 4.5 or higher. Players that hit a flatter ball will love the extra power and control whereas players that rely predominantly on spin will probably be better suited with a spin-oriented racquet like the Aero. This racquet is suited for all court play, including serve and volley as well as aggressive baseline play. The player using this racquet must have sound mechanics and be able to generate spin and power with the proper strokes rather than rely on the racquet to do all the work. In the right hands, this racquet is second to none on the market. BTW, although it is never wise to buy a racquet based on the cosmetics, I have to say that this racquet looks awesome in the glossy black.

Solid updateI'm an aging player returning to tennis 2 years ago after a long time off. I grew up using a Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 95 and I have a one hand backhand. I've tried a ton of Racquets I love my H22 and PT57A 16x19 but I'm getting to old for these racquets, what I love about the Speed Pro is it is a 100 inch head size that feels most similar to the small head size racquets I'm used to using, I'm not sure if its the oval head shape or the constant beam or the 18x20 but it is the easiest 100 for me to adjust too. I also had an Extreme MP and a Speed MP touch. I found the Extreme good for top spin but not so great for flattening my shots out, the Speed MP felt a bit erratic off the string bed I couldn't be as precise as I wanted like I can with the Speed Pro. I think the Speed Pro is good at everything it doesn't have any flaws in its game which is great for my all court game. The best thing I like abut the Speed Pro is the lower trajectory of the ball, which helps me put away shorter high bouncing balls aggressively, this one shot stops me wanting to switch to any other frame. As for the updates I think they are all subtle updates, I liked the 2022 Speed Pro better than the 2024 Speed Pro, the 2024 was more muted and some had clunky spec's and the 2024 was a downgrade in the Paint Job not helped by Sinners decision to stick with the 2022 colorway. The 2025 Legend has the best paint job of them all, the Hybor helps stiffen it up a bit to take away the overly muted feel, the swing weights overall are less clunky feeling, all updates are positive updates to a racquet I already made the decision to play. I tried O Toro 1.23 in Green at 54 pounds but I usually string my Speed Pro at 48. I might try Caviar or Razor Code next, I think a crisp string in this crisper feeling update might create a nice feel.

Best Speed Pro everI owned a Speed Pro 2022, and was not 100% feeling it, Then I upgraded to the Auxetic 2.0, and it was better but the feel was muted and power was missing. I took a chance and bought this new Speed Pro 2025, and it is amazing. The perfect racquet. Spin, Power, and superb control. I strung it with Volkl Cyclone on the mains at 50 lbs, and Volkl V’Icon Natural gut on the crosses at 48 lb. Is that good that I am buying another one. Absolute BEST.
