Md Ashik Eqbal is a dedicated outreach worker and avid SW surfer with call sign S21TS and is passionate about international shortwave broadcasts. With a background in monitoring activities spanning Education, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Environment, Livelihood, and Emergency Humanitarian Response, Eqbal has tirelessly served in various capacities across Bangladesh. As a Monitoring and Evaluation manager, he has navigated challenging terrains to ensure the effective implementation of programs in hard-to-reach areas. Eqbal’s lifelong love for shortwave radio has fostered strong friendships with numerous international broadcasters, enriching his personal and professional experiences.

Ashik Eqbal has been a traditional radio listener since he was a toddler. His main interests are shortwave surfing and outdoor discovery. He is a Bangladeshi Amateur Radio operator with the call sign S21TS.
